The Black Cap Basslet will defend their territory by first approaching the intruder then opening their mouth as wide as possible in a show of threat. Usually no more than one or two should be housed in any single aquarium. Origin Caribbean History It is related to the Royal Gramma Basslet but is found in much deeper water, which explains much of why it is less common in the pet trade. . They are reef safe and can be kept in both miniature reef and regular aquarium. Common Foods The Black Cap Basslet is quite hardy and will eat a wide variety of food including flake food. |
