These little piggies are absolutely fantastic pets. Guineas pig will definitely fit into your apartment or home with ease. Guinea pigs love the outdoors and can be leashed trained. Guinea pigs are popular pets as they are highly social animals and well-behaved with children. They are happy being in a cage that only needs to be cleaned out once a week. They do well on their own or with a buddy and eat lots of food. They are happy to sit on you shoulder or in the crook of your arm and just hang out. They enjoy being pampered and loved and are capable of returning the same with a soft nuzzle or a head butt.

One of the salient points for considering a Guinea pig as a pet is that he/she is an extremely quiet animal. No loud barking or running around the house. You might hear a gurgle or a squeak once in a while but that is about the loudest noise they will ever produce.
